While they use a proprietary formula and shape, they are very similar to, and often compatible with, Standard International (SI) cartridges. They can also use a Waterman converter for bottled ink
The Waterman Titan/Titane CF (or C/F) Ballpoint refill is a proprietary size and shape that will only fit older Waterman ballpoint pens. It is similar to some of the metal tube refills on the market, but it has a flared rear end necessary for the unique action of the Waterman pens that use it.
Instructions, how to, refit with Schmidt mini refill
Original refill 3 ¾ inches Mini Schmidt #635 2 11/16 inches
Cut original Titan refill: 3 1/8 inches * clean out old ink Crimp Titan refill 1 1/8 inches from bottom,
Slide Mini refill into original refill, total length now 3 ¾ inches.
If you prefer to buy a converted refill I have them $40 each
