The Sheaffer Triumph Lifetime is a vintage fountain pen from the 1940s, famous for its cylindrical, wrap-around 14k gold "Triumph" nib and innovative vacuum-filling system
The Triumph Nib: Unlike traditional open nibs, the large, two-tone 14k gold Triumph nib is conically shaped and wraps around the feed, designed for extreme durability and a smooth writing experience.
The White Dot: Located on the crown of the cap, Sheaffer’s signature White Dot signified their unconditional lifetime guarantee for the original owner.
Filling Mechanism: Most vintage Lifetime Triumph models used a high-capacity vacuum-fill (Vac-Fil) piston system, developed during WWII to conserve rubber. Built as a sacless, high-capacity rival to Parker's Vacumatic, using a long syringe-like plunger rod to create a vacuum on the downstroke and pull ink in on release * The Front Point Gasket is original , tested and works .
Design & Body: Characterized by a torpedo-shaped silhouette, striated celluloid or solid black body, and a wide metal cap band, it stands as a classic crossover between pre-war elegance and mid-century modern design.
Pencil takes 0.9mm lead, uses a propel/repel twist mechanism. Turning the cap or crown advances or retracts the lead.
