A middle-end version was also offered in 1935 with three rings on the cap, the Challenger Deluxe. It was priced at $3.50. It was of the same colours and design as the Standard pens, but the plastic had a more "chunky" feel, as opposed to the finer marbled plastics of the Standard. The black clip screw was also smaller. Both Standard and Slender models were offered.
