1992 Omas Paragon, Blue celluloid
"In 1925, Armando Simoni, conceived the philosophy of the company. The name OMAS was to symbolize technical perfection, aesthetic refinement, and the pure pleasure of writing."
The celluloid collection is crafted from blocks of nitrocellulose, which have been fused and then shaped.
Fashioned in a beautiful blue on the famous OMAS 12-sided paragon body and elegantly trimmed with gold plated rings. The lower cap ring is engraved with their signature Greek-Key and features the characteristic rolling ball clip. The material used is a fascinating blue Celluloid, which is quit notable since OMAS had only resumed production of celluloid in 1991 after a lapse of some years
In June 2018 it was announced that Ancora, another Italian penmaker, had acquired OMAS and that production would be resumed with OMAS remaining a separate brand retaining its classic models and using the materials inherited from the former company.
